ONE-YEAR BIBLE CAMPAIGN
Life is hectic - and everyone's time is at a premium. But
we should all remember that God is passionate about spending
time with us. He wants to share Himself with each one of us.
The Bible is a very personal letter from a very personal God
- who really wants to meet with us everyday - if we are willing
to spend the time with Him. The Geary Baptist Church wants
to encourage you to commit to spending time in His word in
2006 by reading through the Bible in one year. We have a wonderful
opportunity to come together as a church family and give God
our time and allow His Word to impact our lives.
Everyday set some time aside for God - and in a year, you
will have read through the entire Bible. Image how pleased
God will be to see His children spending time with Him. And
imagine the impact that this will have on our lives and the
life of this church.
We have found a great tool to help us all read through the
Bible in a year. We will have a sign up sheet on the bulletin
board for those of you who wish to participate. We encourage
families as well as individuals to sign up. These daily readings
are a great starter for family devotions.
Prayerfully consider if this is something that you are willing
to do. Let's all commit to spend time with God every day.
The required reading sections will be in the bulletin each
week.
College
and Career Youth
NEW BIBLE STUDY BEGINNING FOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES TO
AGE 30 - Shelby Mercer (our Youth Worker) will be starting
a Bible Study entitled "God and the Journey to Truth" on Friday,
April 29th beginning at 7:00 p.m. This will be held at the
Family Center. The cost of the book is $11.00. There is a
sign up sheet on the bulletin board for those who are interested
in taking the class. In the meantime we need to be thinking
of a name for this new group. If you come up with any ideas
or have any questions, please contact Shelby.
Men's Study
Group
A new Men's Bible Study has started in October - Experiencing
God, by Henry Blackaby.
"Knowing and doing the will of God. Learn to hear when
God is speaking to you. Find out where God is working and
join him. Experience God doing through you what only God can
do!"
Knowing and doing the will of God, is a 12 week course designed
for a combination of individual and small group study.
Women's
Study Group
If you have not yet paid for your study guide, and you are
in a position to do so, please put it in your offering and
designate it "Ladies Bible Study". the cost for
a Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place is $25.00 and the study
guide for 1 Peter is $6.35.

 Choir
The Geary Baptist Church Choir meets at the church every
Wednesday evening at 7:45pm. Led by Susan S., the choir performs
during special services throughout the year. All are welcome
to come out to choir practice!

Sunset Kids
