Awana Cubbies is a Bible based program that helps pre-school children to memorize Bible verses and learn basic Biblical truths. The children meet every Monday morning from 9:15am to 11:00am at the Geary Baptist Church Family Center. During this time pre-schoolers enjoy games, snacks and stories. We ask parents to complete one Bear Hug and memory verse each week with their child. This helps our Cubby Bears to fully enjoy the programmed activities that are planned on Monday mornings.

The Awana® club for preschoolers is built on two premises:

• Young children can and should receive spiritual training.
• Home is the primary place for spiritual training.

Fun – and lots of it!

Awana® is fun with a purpose – to reach and train kids for Jesus Christ. Games, puppets, crafts, awards and other activities transform our preschool program into a lively weekly experience where fun and learning go hand in hand.

Friendly characters and leaders

Cubbie Bear, Luv E. Lamb, Ern. E. Elephant, Zip E. Zebra and Gigi Giraffe take preschoolers on a thrilling journey through God’s Word. Caring, committed volunteer leaders from your church nurture your children spiritually as Christian role models and teachers.

Foundational teaching

Bible-centered handbooks and club activities help your children begin to build a solid understanding of the basics of Christianity at an early age.

Note: We remind parents that when school is cancelled, Cubbies will also be cancelled. We would like to thank the parents for allowing us the opportunity to share God's word with your children and also to thank you for supporting the AWANA program. In Matt 19:14 Jesus said ," Let the children come to me. Don't stop them! For the Kingdom of Heaven belongs to such as these."

POLICE BACKGROUND CHECKS & APPLICATION FORM FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH WORKERS - All children and youth workers are being asked to get their police background checks completed as soon as possible. You can pass them in to Diane Davidson or Pastor Greg to have on file in the church office. If you have not received your copy of the "Child Abuse Prevention Policy" and the "Application Form for Children and Youth Worker", please contact Diane Davidson. The completed forms are to be passed in by March 13, 2005. This would include all workers who help with: Cubbies, Sparks, T&T Clubs, JVs, Word of Life, Junior Church, Church Nursery, Prayer Meeting Nursery and VBS
