Discovery Hour (our Sunday School)
 Discovery
Hour is every Sunday morning at 10:00am to 10:45am, from September
to June. There are classes for ALL ages - from nursery age
children to adults. As a matter of fact there is usually a
choice of adult classes to attend!
DISCOVERY HOUR PICNIC
The Discovery Hour Picnic will be held on Sunday, June 18th
immediately following our morning worship service. We are
asking the congregation to bring salads and desserts. Remember
to bring a lawn chair. This will be held at James Carr’s
home at Armstrong Acres, 168 French Lake Road. If it is raining
that day the picnic will be held at the Family Centre.
Discovery Hour Fun Fair!
The Geary Baptist Church Discovery Hour recently held a Fun
Fair in the Family Center. There were canival-style games
and prizes and face painting. A lunch of hot-dogs, pop and
chips was served.
The highlight of the event was "Plaster the Pastor"
or "Soak Shelby". Ballots were collected over the
last few weeks to decide who would receive a shower of red
Jell-O, shrimp flavored noodles and gummie worms. In a landslide
"victory", Pastor Greg won as the movement to "Keep
Shelby Dry" gained huge momentum in the last few moments

Discovery Hour Fun Fair! - Fall

POLICE BACKGROUND CHECKS & APPLICATION
FORM FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH WORKERS - All children
and youth workers are being asked to get their police background
checks completed as soon as possible. You can pass them in
to Diane Davidson or Pastor Greg to have on file in the church
office. If you have not received your copy of the "Child Abuse
Prevention Policy" and the "Application Form for Children
and Youth Worker", please contact Diane
Davidson. The completed forms are to be passed in by March 13, 2005. This would include all workers who help with: Cubbies, Sparks, T&T Clubs, Trek 24-7, Senior, Junior Church, Church Nursery and VBS.
Discovery Hour Teachers Needed
- Please prayerfully consider if the Lord have you in this
challenging and worthwhile position. It is an awesome privilege
and responsibility to train these young children in the way
of the Lord. Please see
