Greetings from the Grifts
Our Personal Journey
Step #1 WOL Introduction
- Candidate School at the end of May was great and we enjoyed
it very much. It was very helpful in preparing us for what
the Lord has in store for us to do. We took in a lot in four
days. But it was great to meet the staff and to see Word of
Life Canada located in Owen Sound, Ontario.
Step#2 Our Moving Adventure
- The Grift's are home, all is moved in, no more boxes to
unpack. Praise the Lord! The transition from Maine back to
New Brunswick was filled with God's wonderful blessing. The
Lord's Work to us has been true when He said, "Trust in the
Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;
In all of your ways acknowledge him and He shall direct your
paths". Prov. 3: 5-6.
Step #3 Ministry Begins
- Now that we are settled in, we are getting involved in our
local church. We are involved in a visitation ministry to
the seniors and on Wednesday evenings we will help out with
our W.O. L. club. We look forward to introducing ourselves
to churches and Work of Life club leaders.
Step #4 Ministry Adjustments
- Raising support is very different from the pastorate. We
will now be encouraging folks to join our team and support
us in the ministry. It will be necessary for us to travel
much more than we have in the past and stay in different peoples'
homes. We will need to balance part-time work with ministry.
Step #5 Ministry Goals
- Our first year with W.O.L. will be focused on raising $3000
in support.
Step #6 Contacting Us
- We would love to hear from you. **Please contact us if you
would like to receive our new prayer cards!!
Praise!
- We praise the Lord for all those who helped load and unload
the moving truck.
- We praise the Lord for the generosity and support of our
former church, Knox Ridge Baptist.
- We must thank the Lord for a very uneventful border crossing.
- The Lord provided us with a wonderful home to live in.
- We have been greatly encouraged by our home church, Rothesay
Baptist, by welcoming us back as they have.
