A wonderful
time was had by all! Thanks to Rachel Sparkes for guest
speaking at our event! Thanks also to all the parents
who came out to share in this time with us!

General Purpose Statement
 The
purpose of Word of Life is the Evangelization and discipleship
of youth through various means consistent with the Holy Scriptures
to strengthen and build up the church of Jesus Christ. (from

group meetings!
The Geary Baptist Word of Life Senior Youth Group now has
its own MSN Groups site! It can be accessed by typing the
following URL into your web browser: http://groups.msn.com/GBCWordofLifeSeniorYouth
You will be asked to submit a request to join this “Group”.
The MSN Group page is a place to post and respond to messages,
chat, list favorite Christian web links, and MUCH MORE!
The GBCWOL MSN Group is exclusively for our youth group teens
and leaders - it is NOT a public area.
 2005-2006
Teen Binder
This year's Teen Binder includes: quiet time daily devotions,
planning calendar, discipleship tools, Bible study and MUCH
more! This year's topic is "Future Events", and
has already proven to be the most discussed topic to date
for our group.
Future Events: Blessed
is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy
and keep those things which are written therein: for the time
is at hand.
Regular WOL Meeting Activities:
Ice Breaker (puzzles, silly teamwork games), Music, Announcements
and Calendar Review, Quiet Time Check and Discussion Time,
Bible Lesson and Group Discussion, Game Time (organized sports
to silly games such as bubble gum sculpturing and frozen T-shirt
dressing!)
Special WOL Events have Included:
Campfires, Beach Parties, Pumpkin Olympics, Superbowl All-nighter,
Sunday Night Live, Christmas Dinner, Parent's Night, Hiking
the Maliseet Trail, Barbeque and Cornboil, Bigger & Better,
Movie Night, Pizza Topping Search, Fear Factor, Local Missions,
Annual Ultimate Scavenger Hunt, and much more!
POLICE BACKGROUND CHECKS & APPLICATION
FORM FOR CHILDREN AND YOUTH WORKERS
- All children and youth workers are being asked to
get their police background checks completed as soon as possible.
You can pass them in to Diane Davidson or Pastor Greg to have
on file in the church office. If you have not received your
copy of the "Child Abuse Prevention Policy" and the "Application
Form for Children and Youth Worker", please contact Diane
Davidson. The completed forms are to be passed in by March
13, 2005. This would include all workers who help with: Cubbies,
Sparks, T&T Clubs, JVs, Word of Life, Junior Church, Church
Nursery, Prayer Meeting Nursery and VBS.
